These gourmet Nicaraguan beans are dark with light beads of oils, a smooth body and sweet flavor that captures hints of butter, honey, vanilla, and chocolate, reflecting it's cultivation at high altitude- hence the name “Altisimo” meaning “The Highest”. We slow roast this coffee to just the right temperature (Full City Plus) at to produce a coffee that bursts with flavor and rolls smoothly off your palate.
The Vida Joven farm is high in the mountains of Northern Nicaraguan between Jinotega and Matagalpa. It’s altitude of 5000 feet provide a cool environment and a longer growing season for coffee, resulting in a dense flavorful bean. The coffee is carefully hand-picked only when fully ripe.
I use the Nica Dark in my espresso machine and it makes a foamy shot. In my press, the flavors are, well, complex and I can't describe it past the
sweet, choco, deep, robust flavors that come out of this coffee.
