"Altisimo" means "The Highest" because this coffee is grown at 5000 feet high in the mountains of Nicaragua. This coffee is bright and has distinct nutty and buttery tones with hints of praline, honey, and vanilla.
This coffee is cultivated on one of the highest farms in Nicaragua- The Vida Joven Estate- located high in the mountains of Northern Nicaraguan between Jinotega and Matagalpa. It’s altitude of 5000 feet provide a cool environment and a longer growing season for coffee, resulting in a dense flavorful bean. The coffee is carefully hand-picked only when fully ripe.
What a surprise! I first tried the Nica Dark, and then this one, which has a citrus flavor somewhere in the background, with some nuttyness, and a
buttery texture. Quite the amazing coffee. The beans are consistent, not marred, and it looks and tastes like specialty coffee.

Very good. My grinder only grinds fine yet my percolator requires course. So I will probably order it again with a course grind and maybe jump it up
to a higher rating!
